Find the Perfect Fit
Size & Precision Guide
Standardized Sizing
Choosing the right size is about more than just measurements-it's about the "presence" the sign has on your wall. We offer two primary sizes that cover everything from subtle accents to bold focal points.
The Accent
8" x 12" (20cm x 30cm)
Perfect for dense gallery walls or smaller vertical spaces. This is the classic "tin sign" size that fits anywhere.
- Ideal Placement: Above coffee bars, kitchen pantries, or bathroom doors.
- Space Context: Best for rooms under 100 sq ft.
- Giftability: Easy to mail and fits beautifully in standard gift boxes.
The Focal Point
12" x 18" (30cm x 45cm)
Designed to command attention. This size is 1.5x larger than our standard sign and offers professional presence.
- Ideal Placement: Large garage walls, commercial bar backsplashes, or above a sofa.
- Space Context: Best for workshops, patios, or open-plan living areas.
- Visibility: Text is readable from over 30 feet away.
Pro Tip: The "Rule of Threes"
If you're decorating a large blank wall, grouping three 8x12" signs horizontally or in a staggered grid creates a more dynamic look than a single isolated sign. For a centerpiece, use one 12x18" sign surrounded by smaller accents.
Precision Characteristics
Our sizing isn't just about height and width-it's about the physical feel of the American-made aluminum in your hands.
The Tin Prints Standard
Thickness
.032" Sturdy Aluminum
Weight (8x12)
~6 ounces (Lightweight)
Corners
Rounded (Safety Pro)
Finish
UV PLUS! High-Gloss
A Note on Depth: Our signs are flat, low-profile pieces. This allows them to sit flush against the wall for a clean, modern look. They do not have "rolled" or "flanged" edges, which prevents them from gathering dust on the underside.
Commercial Sizing
Need a custom size for a commercial building or a specific architectural requirement? While we stock 8x12" and 12x18", we can accommodate volume orders with custom dimensions. Contact our **wholesale@tinprints.com** team for details on custom dimensions for orders of 50 units or more.
Still unsure?
Use a piece of painter's tape to mark out the dimensions (8x12 or 12x18) on your wall before you buy to see how it fills the space!
