Your Tin Prints sign is protected by our proprietary UV PLUS! high-gloss coating. This doesn't just make the colors pop; it creates a non-porous shield that resists dirt, moisture, and aging. Maintenance is remarkably simple.
Simple Wipe
Use a soft microfiber cloth or a damp cotton towel. For most indoor signs, a quick dust once a month is all you need.
Mild Solutions
If your sign is in a kitchen or bar, use a drop of mild dish soap to remove grease. Avoid anything with ammonia or bleach.
Air Dry
Since aluminum doesn't absorb water, you can simply let it air dry or blot it with a fresh towel to prevent water spots.
Environmental Optimizing
We build our signs to survive, but a little strategic placement can significantly extend the "as-new" vibrance of your art.
High-Sun Locations
While our UV PLUS! coating is industry-leading, constant 24/7 direct desert sunlight will eventually age any material. If mounting outdoors, a partially shaded area (under an awning or porch) will keep the colors deep for years longer.
Coastal & Salt Spray
Aluminum is naturally rust-proof, but salt-air can leave a hazy residue over time. If you live near the ocean, we recommend wiping your sign down with fresh water once every few months to remove salt buildup.
High-Heat Zones
Our signs are non-combustible, but extreme heat (such as mounting directly behind a stovetop or grill) can soften the coating over many years. Keep signs at least 12 inches away from direct flame or high-heat heating elements.
High-Wind Areas
Ensure all four pre-drilled holes are used if mounting in wind-prone areas. This prevents the metal from vibrating against the wall, which can cause minor scuffing on the back finish.
Estimated Product Lifespan
Indoor Use: Indefinite. Your sign will likely outlast the wall it's on.
Outdoor (Sheltered): 7-10 Years before any noticeable aging.
Outdoor (Direct Sun): 3-5 Years of peak vibrancy depending on UV intensity.
